Party Like Warhol This NYE

We made it through 2020 (*cue a collective sigh of relief*)!

And so this NYE, we think we should all party like Warhol. Party like it’s 1965 at the Factory in New York City and you’re living on the edge of greatness.

To put us in the mood (and because we still can’t quite throw a fiesta on the scale we’d like to) we’ve been imagining our dream guest list from THAT scene…

We’d invite pop artists like Richard HamiltonEduardo Paolozzi and Roy Lichtenstein (because if anyone can relate to his comic-book style Drowning Girl, it’s all of us in 2020). Also because we get to admire his El Cap de Barcelona sculpture here in the city all the time.

We’d definitely ask Edie Sedgewick and Billy Name (in-house photographer at The Factory studio) to capture the action, and guest of honour Andy Warhol himself, because nobody threw a party like he did!

Pop Art Style Inspo: The Only Blonde in the World by Pauline Boty (1963) is a whole mood.

Who would your fictional entourage of arty party guests include? Keeping the champagne art-themed, we're completely coveting a bottle of this Veuve Cliquot by Yayoi Kusama. We can’t wait to see what 2021 brings - wishing you only the good stuff for the year ahead.

Happy New Year to you and yours from all of us at The Art Büro!
