Last week, TAB founder Gabriella got to hang out with urban artist Xavi Ceerre and explore his super cool NY style loft studio in the heart of Barcelona. We are completely obsessed with his unique style (and honestly didn’t want to leave). Here is an inside glimpse into his dreamy workspace..
Xavi Ceerre is a talented multidisciplinary artist, mainly focused on abstract, graphic-style paintings using a range of materials. Originally from Alcoi near Valencia, he has lived in New York and Amsterdam before finding his way back to Barcelona.
As a starting point for his work, he often looks at childhood drawings, reinterpreting them with references to graffiti, hip-hop and urban culture in a way unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
His work has been exhibited in international gallery spaces around the world and been included in some of our favourite design publications. We especially love his monochromatic series with vibrant flashes of neon (like the piece we shared on our grid earlier this week).
Xavi is THE rising star of Spanish urban art, and we can’t wait to work with him. His work may or may not be making an appearance at our next pop-up coming soon, watch this space!
