The Art of Photography: 4 Contemporary Photographers To Follow Right Now
World Photography Day on the 19th August each year celebrates the art, craft and history of photography. An art form that has documented humanity, captured moments in time and enabled talent and creativity since its inception.
The date comes from the day in 1837 that the French government purchased the patent of the newly invented Daguerrotype process and announced it as a “free gift to the world”. So really, we have France to thank for photography as we know it!
It is a medium particularly close to our hearts at The Art Büro, as our founder Gabriella spent many years travelling the world as a professional fine art photographer.
Read on for 4 contemporary photographers chosen by our team, whose work stops us in our tracks every time…
